Blue Horizon Contracting ("BHC") has recently completed the dismantling of an anhydrous ammonia plant located in Northern Alberta. The plant was dismantled for transportation to Argentina. The project was completed on time, under budget and with no man days lost to injury.
BHC is currently involved in the dismantling of an ammonia plant and methanol plant in Kitimat, BC. Dismantling started in February with a targeted completion date of December 30, 2011. This site is approximately five times larger than our last project and is a testament to our companies’ growth. Over the course of the contract BHC will employ over one hundred and twenty people in the Kitimat area, which when the contract started had an unemployment rate of approximate 17%, one of the highest in Canada. This project will establish BHC as a prime player in the dismantling and relocation industry in North America.
